Thermal Analysis and Environmental Control and Life Support

As one of the major areas of expertise within AOES, many of our engineers are working on the design and analysis of thermal (sub)systems for the space industry and ESA/ESTEC.

Their working area consists of:

  • steady state and transient thermal analysis

  • thermal radiation analysis and

  • test correlation / update of thermal analysis models

     

Activities involve major reviews of ESA Projects (PDR, CDR, acceptance reviews), spacecraft thermal modeling & analysis, spacecraft thermal control, cooling with air-& water-loops (Columbus, ATV), high-temp thermal control ( BEPI COLOMBO), heat-pipes.

 

AOES engineers also support ESA in thermal tools development, participate in failure investigation teams and contribute to the standardization for exchange of thermal analysis and test data.
