A major aspect of the expertise of AOES in the aircraft industry is linear and non-linear (geometrical & material) stress analysis of both metallic and composite structures using  both hand calculations as well as F.E. modeling.

In this field we have been involved in strength verification of structures (analyzing the strength of structures, calculating allowables and reserve factors and margins of safety) up to and including the certification procedures of structural parts.

Furthermore the department has proven experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analyses
